On April 1, 2008, Price Sheet 408I becomes effective.  We find it necessary to raise prices at this time because of the information we have given you of the extreme tightness in the carbon steel market.  This will not be the last price increase in the near future, because today we have received further price increases from our steel companies for both flanges and fittings.

With this price increase, the discount structure has not changed, but the freight allowance has.  Contact Weldbend Corporation for the new structure.  No printed material will be sent with this new price increase because we feel that in less than thirty days this price sheet will be replaced with further increases.

These are volatile and demanding times.  If the demand remains at a frenzied pace and we have difficulty securing steel, there will be allocations put in place for current customers, and we would not take on new or dormant customers until the situation has eased.  If you have any jobs that are in the works, I suggest that you firm up your inquiries to orders as soon as you can.
